Help! It's Not Working

So you are doing everything correct. You have a set schedule of at least 4 days a week you are eating a healthy balanced diet and you haven't noticed a difference. Here are some things to consider.

1.Are you stressed out? Stress has proven to be a major cause of weight gain even when you are doing everything else correctly.

2. Are you eating late? Even if what you are eating is healthy your metabolism slows when you sleep. Therefore, your will not burn the calories and will possibly gain weight.

3. Are you on medication? Some types of prescribed medications will cause you to gain weight. Speak to your doctor and/or health care professional about a alternative.

4. Do you suffer from other diseases or medical issues? Many times there is a side effect of weight gain at no control of your own. Another conversation to have with a professional.

5. Are you changing your routine regularly? If you do the same routine over and over again your body will predict what is next and not change. If you continue to do the same thing, you will get the same result. In order to get a different result, you must do something different. That's the reality.

6. Are you really being as diligent as you claim? If in doubt, start the journals again to track your workouts and eating plan. Sometimes we all think we are doing something when in reality we are doing nothing at all.

7. Are you getting enough sleep? The body requires us to get a certain amount of sleep so that we can recuperate. We must get the proper sleep, so our bodies can operate at their optimal level.

8. Are you on the scale every day? Go back and re-read BMI vs weight. The key thing to remember is that muscle weighs more than fat. You may notice that when you get on the scale the number goes up. It may be that you are gaining muscle at a faster rate than you are losing fat.

9. Are you alternating more difficult with easier workouts? This also has to do with #5. Switch your workouts around. Shock your body.

10. Are you really giving your health the attention that it deserves? Remember God saved His best for last when He created us. We are to be good stewards over our selves.
